Saturday night with the "lonely hearts club" was quite interesting. A1 and I went to Raku, had some sushi and a few peach martinis. I have never had such a good martini. We headed over to the Cocoa lounge to meet up with A2 a few others. I had a few apple martinis there too. Yummy! I was buzzing pretty hard and enjoying the company and the music. The bartender sucked and was so slow, but hey, you can't have a completely perfect night. I was just standing there, talking to my girls, when all of a sudden a handsome stranger came into view. He is friends with A2, so it was all good. We had the best of a conversation in a loud, cramped bar that was possible. He is nice, funny and very good looking. He also has a good job, so there is no complaining about that. Anyway, A1 and her friends, decide that we should go to a different bar, so I was saying my goodbyes. The handsome stranger asked for my number. I hesitated for a moment, thinking about the past month and all the pain, but I gave it to him anyway. Im not sure if it is the right time to move on, but he was cute, and I liked the attention. So, I gave it to him. Who the hell knows if he will call. I have no clue. I guess I will find out by Wedensday. From what I remember from dating, that's the normal time frame. Im not going to get my hopes up on a possible date or anything, but like I said, the attention made me feel special.
After we left Cocoa, we went to Cafe Citron, drank some margaritas and danced. We then headed over to Adams Mill, and we drank some more and danced some more. There was an interesting issue with a boy from Montana. But it was all good. I ran into a gal from high school who I haven't seen in 10 years. That was weird that we both recognized each other. Then we headed over to Julias for some yummy empanadas-they always hit the spot on some booze.
Since my last posting, I have been able to not cry, or dwell on the issue. I guess distractions are good. We'll see.
